Serbian Films at the 56th BFI London Film Festival

Movies “Death of Man in the Balkans” and “Clip” were included in the selection of this year's BFI London Film Festival, which takes place from 10th to 21st of October.

On the 6th of September the jury announced the list of films that were entered into the final program, and among them were found and the “Death of Man in the Balkans” by Miroslav Momčilović and “Clip” by Maja Miloš.

Momčilović’s film was chosen by Peter Hyams who has stated that it is a tough and innovative dark comedy that examines the neighbors’ and the police reaction to the sudden death of a Belgrade composer.

The jury member Michael Haydn has announced “Clip” as a shocking but not hopeless portrait of young people. “Natural, honest and brutally sexually explicit, Maja Miloš's debut film has a bold vitality and shock the heart without judgment.”

“Death of Man in the Balkans” will be screened three time, while “Clip” will be shown five times.

When it comes to regional productions, the festival will host only one more film from former Yugoslavia - “Children” by Aida Begić.
