Cargo at Cottbus and Zagreb festivals

Cargo, the feature film project by Ognjen Glavonić, was chosen for the coproduction market Connecting Cottbus - a part of the Cottbus Film Festival in Germany – as well as for the screenplay development workshop which is taking place as a part of the Zagreb Film Festival in Croatia.

Cargo is the only project from Serbia which will be competing at the Cottbus film market and take part in the My First Screenplay selection, a segment of the 11th Zagreb Film Festival.

The story of Cargo is set in Serbia in year 1999, and it takes place over the course of two days in the life of a truck driver transporting a mysterious cargo through the country. The project is being produced by Non-Aligned Films and principal photography is scheduled to begin in late 2014.

Cargo has previously received support by the Hubert Bals fund of the Rotterdam Film Festival and it was presented in the Producers Network event at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.

Cargo is the first feature film by  Ognjen Glavonić, the author of numerous award-wining shorts and documentaries. His latest film, Živan Makes a Punk Festival had its premiere in September in Dom Omladine in Belgrade and the Cultural Centre in Pančevo.
