Focus on Serbia in Sofia

Focus on Serbia is a special programme at the forthcoming 18th International Film Festival in Sofia, to be held from the 6th to the 16th of March 2014, which includes the screening of five films in various segments of the festival, as well as presentations of projects in development at the accompanying film market. 

The competition will include the film The Disobedient by Mina Djukić. Two films will be screened in the Balkan competition programmeThe Falsifier by Goran Marković and (T)Rolling by Kosta Djordjević. Clip by Maja Miloš will be screened as a part of the Focus programme

Sofia festival will award Goran Paskaljević with a Lifetime Achievement Award, on which occasion the film When Day Breaks will be shown. Before Goran Paskaljević, this significant award was received by Wim Wenders, Theo Angelopoulos, Vanessa Redgrave, Miki Manojlović and Nikita Mikhalkov. 

The film The Falsifier by Goran Marković will also be screened as a part of the Sofia Festival program held in Burgas and Plovdiv, on 13th and 14th of March in 2014. 

The 18th International Film Festival in Sofia opens on March 6th  with the screening of The Judgment by Stephan Komandarev, starring Miki Manojlović. 

The project God Returns Home, by Petar Ristovski, produced by Kinozoik, will be presented as a part of the Plus Minus One segment of the Sofia Meetings. 
The project Vasa’s Cake by Željko Đukić and produced by Dakar will be presented in the Projects in Bank selection (project selected in cooperation with the Euro Mediterranean Co-production Forum)

Two projects will be presented as part of the Work in progress selection: Travelator, by Dušan Milić, produced by International Film Deluxe/Eye to Eye, and Panama, by Pavle Vučković, produced by Collapse films.
