Documentary Film The Forest awarded in Nyon
05.05.2014.

At the recently ended International Festival Visions du Reel 2014 in Nyon, Switzerland, one of the largest and most important documentary festivals, the jury prize for the most innovative feature film went to the film The Forest by Siniša Dragin, produced by October film Belgrade and Mrakonia Film Bucharest.

At the end of December 1947,  Yugoslav President Josip Broz Tito visited Romania for the first time. To strengthen the new socialist friendship, the Romanian officials gave Tito a painting of the great Romanian artist Ion Andresku, title The Forest. Many years later, the painting will become involved in a tense spy story and reveal a secret that will shake the foundations of both Yugoslavia and Romania.

The film is a testimony of the complexity and diversity of voices that make up what we call reality.
The film is supported by Film Center Serbia.
