Monument to Michael Jackson Honored at the Festival in Vienna

The film Monument to Michael Jackson has received a Special Jury Award at the Let's Cee Film Festival in Vienna. 

The official decision of the jury emphasizes that they were enchanted by the film’s vivid story from Serbia which presents a serious issue via an original plot, which is transformed into a great pleasure for the audience through brilliantly nuanced acting performances. 

Monument to Michael Jackson had its world premiere at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival and has so far participated in film festivals in Pula, Sarajevo, Zadar and Herceg Novi film festivals, where it has won the Grand Prix – the Golden Mimosa for best film. At the Niš film festival, Boris Milivojević won the Grand NAIS Prix for best actor as well as the FIPRESCI Serbia critic’s award. 

The film was screened at the International Film Festival "Love & Anarchy" in Helsinki, Raindance Festival in London, the Hamburg International Festival and the aforementioned Let's Cee Festival in Vienna, and soon will be screened at the Golden Orange Festival in Antalya. 

The film was directed by Dark Lungulov and it stars Boris Milivojević, Nataša Tapušković, Dragan Bjelogrlić, Toni Mihajlovski, Branislav Trifunović, Mirjana Karanović, Ljubomir Bandović, Marko Janketić, Emilija Terzić and Srđan Miletić. 

The Serbian premiere is scheduled for 29th of October at the Sava Center. A day later, the film will be in movie theaters around the country and the region.
