Critics award in Cairo for No One's Child

The film No One's Child, directed by Vuk Ršumović, won the grand prize at the 36th International Film Festival in Cairo in the critics' choice selection.

The award is named after the famous Egyptian film director Shadi Abd El Salam.

The film, made in Serbo-Croatian co-production, was screened twice during the festival, and after both screening there was a conversation with the director, with great interest shown by the audience.

The International Film Festival in Cairo was held for the first time after a three-year break due to political instability in the country.

520 films applied for the critics' choice selection, which was held for the first time this year, of which the jury selected seven to be shown during the festival, including the winning film No One's Child.

The award was presented on Sunday, and on behalf of the director, it was received by representatives of the Serbian Embassy in Cairo.
