"Circles" at the GoEast Festival

The thirteenth edition of the GoEast Festival of Central and Eastern European films will take place from April 10th to April 16th in Wiesbaden, Frankfurt, Mainz and for the first time in Darmstadt. Circles, a film by Srdan GoluboviŠ, will be screened in the official competition.

The competition selection of the GoEast festival consists of 10 feature films and 6 documentaries.

A selection of current releases produced in Central and Eastern European countries will be presented to the audience under the slogan “Between Enchanting Poetry and Stark Reality”.

The international jury, presided over by Hungarian director Benedek Fligauf, will award four prizes from a total prize fund of 31.500 euro.

Over 350 films were submitted to this year’s competition.

Awards for best feature and best documentary film amount to 10.000 Euros each, the award for the best director is 7.500 Euros and the award for “artistic originality which creates cultural diversity” is 4.000 Euros. The FIPRESCI jury will also award the International Critics prize.
