ĐENERAL

Zlatibor, late summer of 1943. A group of British paratroopers arrives at the Supreme Command of the Yugoslav Army (Draza’s Chetniks). Their arrival brings good news: the imminent capitulation of Italy and the landing of the Western Allies on the Adriatic Sea. The Chetniks then launch the largest anti-Axis operation in Europe outside the Eastern and Western Fronts. However, the Allies do not land, the Germans bring in reinforcements, and General Armstrong issues a series of ultimatums to General Mihailovic. The confrontations between the two generals—representatives of one great power and one relatively small country—reveal the causes of the outcome of the war in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia.
