The film The Last Waltz in Sarajevo tells the story of the final days of an era in Europe known as the Belle Époque, seen through the life of Anton Valić, the first Bosnian cinematographer. Set in Sarajevo between 1910 and 1914, the film depicts a time of turbulent events in the Balkans and the preparations for the assassination of Franz Ferdinand. It follows Valić, who captured the first documentary film of the
assassination itself, alongside his passion for the singer and prostitute Erži Jevropa.
