By marrying the young man who is, for the village he lives in, burdened by a shameful secret that has made him a hostage of his pathologically traditional and religious mother, and unscrupulous but very charming father, Janja also becomes a hostage in a trap made of deceit, hypocrisy, ruthless traditionalism and devastating lust.
