GRINGO PAULISTA

GRINGO PAULISTA is a documentary film about the life and work of Mitar Subotić Suba during the period he spent in Brazil (1990–1999). Mitar Subotić Suba was a composer and producer, and a pioneer of contemporary electronic and experimental music in Yugoslavia. In 1990, he moved to Brazil with the aim of exploring the music of local communities and Afro-Brazilian rhythms. The film follows events in chronological order, from the moment Suba arrived in Brazil through to the release of the album SUBA Tributo, several years after his tragic death.
