ROSH

The documentary film "Roš" by Dušan Krstić, based on his book "Mister Roš", brings a Hollywood-like story of a forgotten Serbian hero, officer, and pioneer of our military aviation. As a key figure in the defense of Belgrade in 1915 under the command of Major Gavrilović, Roš survived severe battle wounds. In the interwar period, he built a career as a successful businessman and patron of the arts, supporting artists like Paja Jovanović. Following World War II, he went into exile, where he directed all his wealth and international influence toward Mount Athos, initiating the historic material, this piece stays true to the classic documentary style. The author emphasizes that this project represents paying a debt to a man who gave everything to Serbia, sparking a vital dialogue on our culture of remembrance and the rehabilitation of true moral role models.
