Upon learning that he’s critically ill and that he has only a few weeks left to live, Spoon, a middle-aged, old-school Belgrade gangster, stuck in the time when he was in his prime, wishes to spend a weekend with Ognjen, his 11-year-old son from his previous marriage. His ex-wife obliges him, realizing that Spoon’s end is near and that this might be the last time father and son meet. Since he hasn’t seen the boy for five years due to some „slight complications“ that earned him a restraining order, Spoon tries now to give him a crash course in what he deems important in life and street survival, as well as to eradicate all the traits he sees as ’soft’, ’weak’ and ’deviant’ in his son. Ognjen, who grew up in a modern hi-tech environment and feels at ease in virtual reality, finds himself plunged into the reality of his father’s underworld, with the latter attempting the impossible: to convey to his son in just a couple of days all the warmth and affection, the experience and wisdom he has, trying at the same time - like a ’genuine Belgrade badass’ - to hide his illness from the boy...
