We are happy to announce that film submissions for 26th Ji.hlava IDFF are now open! Based in the Czech city of Jihlava, the Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival is a leading European documentary festival and the largest event of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe.
Every year in late October, we present around 300 films in six competition sections to an audience of over 80,000 spectators (on-site and online) and more than 1,200 participating film professionals participating in the festival’s rich industry programme.
The 26th edition of the Ji.hlava IDFF will take place on October 25 – 30, 2022.
Authors and producers can now submit (both short and feature):
• Documentary films
• Experimental films
• Animated films or hybrid projects
• Various TV and film formats based on reality
• Virtual reality (VR) projects
• Documentary and educational computer games
Submission deadlines are the following:
- March 31, 2022 (films released in 2021)
- May 31, 2022 (films completed in 2022 and released by May 31, 2022)
- July 31, 2022 (rough cuts and films that have so far not had a festival world premiere)
The submission fee is 20 EUR.
