In the presence of the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, and the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, a series of cooperation agreements was signed in Beijing between the China Media Group (CMG) and the institutions of the Republic of Serbia, including Film Center Serbia.
The agreements were signed on behalf of CMG by Shen Haixiung, deputy head of the Public Relations Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and president of CMG, together with representatives of the institutions of the Republic of Serbia. Two letters of intent were signed between CMG and the Government of the Republic of Serbia, as well as between CMG and the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications of Serbia.
In addition to cooperation with state institutions, CMG has also signed agreements with Film Center Serbia, the Politika newspaper, Serbian Broadcasting Corporation, the Tourist Organization of Serbia and the Institute for International Politics and Economy.
According to the signed documents, the cooperation will be aimed at promoting the Expo 2027 specialized exhibition, as well as improving institutional and media ties between the two countries. Exchange of content, joint production, organization of events, technological cooperation and exchange of experts are planned.
The signing of the agreement with Film Center Serbia represents an additional step in strengthening cultural and audiovisual cooperation between Serbia and China, with the aim of developing international partnerships and new opportunities for the domestic film industry.
