The Film and TV Academy of the Adriatic Region has announced the nominations for the 2026 AFA Awards (Adriatic Film & TV Awards), which are awarded to the best film and television productions and authors from the region. The nominations were decided by more than 800 members of the Academy, film and television professionals.
Among the nominees for this year’s awards are numerous Serbian films and authors.
Stefan Đorđević’s Wind, Talk to Me and Vladimir Tagić’s Yugo Florida are nominated for the best film, while DJ Ahmet, a co-production between North Macedonia, the Czech Republic, Serbia and Croatia, is also among the nominated works.
Stefan Đorđević was also nominated for the best male role, director, screenplay and debut film, while Vladimir Tagić, in addition to the nomination for the best film, is in the competition for the best director and debut film.
Hana Selimović was nominated for the best female lead role for Yugo Florida, and Jana Milosavljević for the Rising Star award. Andrija Kuzmanović was also nominated in the best leading actor category for the same film. Filip Đurić was nominated for the best male role for the movie How Come It’s All Green Out Here?, while Nikola Ležaić is in the competition for the best screenplay for the same movie.
Among the nominated TV productions is the series Shadows Over the Balkans, which is in competition for the best TV series. Nina Janković and Nataša Ninković were nominated for the best leading actress, while Dragan Bjelogrlić was nominated for the best leading actor in a TV series.
The AFA Awards 2026 will be awarded in ten categories, seven of which are dedicated to film and three to television series. This year, for the first time, an award for outstanding success in cinema distribution will also be awarded.
The second AFA awards will be held from October 23th to October 25th in Porto Montenegro, Tivat, while the formal award ceremony will be held on October 24th.
