As a part of the Creative Moxie: Catalyst for Creative Revolution project, which was supported by the British Council, a discussion forum dedicated to strengthening the role of women in the film industry will take place on June 12th and 13th 2025 in Belgrade Youth Center.

Discussion Forum: Women in the Film Industry will bring together film professionals, film festival organizers and all those involved in various aspects of film art.

Over the course of two days visitors will have a chance to see and participate in panel discussions, round tables and the presentation of successful stories of women from the world of film, with the aim of contributing to better visibility and equality of women in the industry, as well as the advancement of the film industry itself, through inspirational examples and open dialogue.

The forum is aimed at professionals in the field of culture and film – from Serbia, the region and Europe, but it is also open to all those who want to start, improve or support initiatives for greater equality and empowerment of women in the film industry. The focus will be on direct exchange of experiences, practical advice and joint development of strategies that support women in all phases of work and creativity.

Participation in the Forum is free, but due to the limited number of places and the desire to enable quality and focused dialogue, registration is mandatory for all Forum participants. The application deadline is June 10, 2025.

Discussion forum: Women in the film industry is part of the “Creative Moxie: Catalyst for Creative Revolution” project, which is implemented by Belgrade Youth Center in cooperation with the Serbian Film Association and NVU Art365 (Montenegro), with the support of the British Council, and is financed through the Culture and Creativity for the Western Balkans initiative.
