THE COMMON STORY

Thirty-five-year-old actor, Veljko is living under the impression that the whole world has conspired against him. He feels like a complete underdog at home and at work. The fame that he should’ve received for his acting roles has overpassed him, and the only thing that he has now are tv commercials that he despises. Jadranka, Veljko’s wife, cannot stand him anymore in that condition. Together, they have a four-year-old daughter, named Vida, that stopped speaking which is why the tension is rising between the couple, very fast. The only solid ground that Veljko has in his life is his relationship with his daughter. After a few unsuccessful tries to have a conversation with him, Jadranka is filing for divorce. From that point on, everything goes south. Veljko is trying to figure out what does it mean to be an actor, a father and a partner, but his most important pircuit is the pircuit of personal happiness. At the end, he becomes aware of the fact that happiness is something that comes from inside and doesn’t exist without love.
