The thirteenth edition of the Serbian Film Showcase festival will take place on November 21st and 22nd, 2025 at the Caisa cultural center in Helsinki. During the two-day program, the audience will have the opportunity to watch a selection of contemporary Serbian films – feature, documentary and short – that shed light on social issues, culture and contemporary life in Serbia in different ways.
The festival will open with the film Sunday, while on the second day the repertoire includes the titles Fried Duck (2023) and 78 days (2024), which will be followed by an online conversation with the directors Jelica Jerinić and Emilija Gašić. The program continues with screenings of the films Enough For Now and Son’s Will.
The first Serbian Film Showcase festival in Helsinki took place in 2011, and has been successfully connecting the Serbian and Finnish cultural scenes for more than a decade. The organizer is the Serbian-Finnish Society, with the support of the Film Center Serbia, the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Finland and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, and in previous years also the City of Helsinki.
Over the years, this festival has become an important cultural platform that promotes Serbian cinema and creates space for dialogue between artists and audiences in Finland.
