Five Serbian-produced films will be shown at the upcoming Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, which will take place from November 7th to 23rd.

The Croatian-Serbian co-production The Feast of the Wolf directed by Boban Jadran, will have its world premiere as part of the international competitive documentary selection of ten films. The producers of the film are Dana Budisavljević (Hulahop), Milanka Gvoić and Nikola Spasić (Rezon Incubator). The film is supported by the Croatian Audiovisual Center – HAVC, Film Center Serbia and the European fund MEDIA Creative Europe.

In the Dalmatian hinterland, not far from popular tourist destinations on the Adriatic coast, the local population has been forgotten. The roads are neglected, there is no public transport and no social life. The main source of income for the locals are their flocks of sheep. However, recently more and more wolves have been attacking flocks. Wind farms and quarries are expanding every day. The locals feel threatened, and a rumor is spreading among them that the European Union and the Croatian Government are secretly bringing wolves by helicopter in order to disperse the population and make room for new industries.

The Croatian-Serbian-Slovenian co-production Second Diary of Pauline P. directed by Neven Hitrec and screenwriter Ivan Turković-Krnjak will have its world premiere as part of the Children’s Competition Program.

The main roles in the film are played by Katja Matković, Judita Franković Brdar, Igor Kovač, Ksenija Marinković and Vinko Kraljević. The film is produced by Jure Bušić (Jaka production), Jure Vizjak and Maja Zupanc (Invida), Dimče Stojanovski and Stefan Orlandić (Living Pictures) and Mirko Bojović (Baboon production), and is supported by the Croatian Audiovisual Center, Film Center Serbia and the Slovenian Film Center.

After the world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival and numerous festivals and awards it won this year, the Macedonian-Serbian-Croatian-Czech co-production DJ Ahmet by Georgi M. Unkovski will have its Estonian premiere.

As part of the program of the Estonian Olympic Sports Committee, a documentary film about the last Yugoslav national team – The Lost Dream Team, directed by Jure Pavlović, will be shown.

The film received the support of Film Center Serbia, the Croatian Audiovisual Center, the Slovenian Film Center, as well as the funds MEDIA Kreativna Evropa, Eurimages, RE-ACT.

The short animated film Floating, by animator and director Jelena Milunović, will compete as part of the New Talents program.

The film was supported by Film Center Serbia, the Croatian Audiovisual Center, the Konrad Wolf University and the CEE animation fund, and this year it was shown at the most important animated film festival, Annecy.
