The film Wind, Talk to Me, directed by Stefan Đorđević has won the award for the best film at the Valdivia International Film Festival in Chile, as well as a special award at the Lima Alterna Festival in Peru.

The Valdivia Festival is one of the most important film events in Latin America, while Lima Alterna promotes contemporary independent and auteur films from around the world.

Inspired by the author’s personal experiences, the film follows Stefan who, after the death of his mother, returns home to celebrate his grandmother’s birthday with his family. His return turns into an emotional journey towards healing.

Wind, Talk to Me has so far been awarded at numerous international festivals: it won the Main Prize for the best film at the Bolzano Film Festival Bozen in Italy, the prize for the best international feature film at the Guanajuato International Film Festival in Mexico, the Main Prize at the Sarajevo Film Festival, as well as the East of Europe prize at the CineFest Miskolc festival in Hungary. Director of photography Marko Brdar was awarded for best cinematography at the Cyprus International Film Festival, while the film in Canada won the prestigious Vanguard Award at the Vancouver International Film Festival.

A co-production between Serbia, Slovenia and Croatia, the film was produced by Non-Aligned Films, with the support of Film Center Serbia, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia, the EU Media Fund, the Slovenian Film Center, Viba film, the Croatian Audiovisual Center and the Vision Sud Est fund.
