The film Yugo Florida, directed by Vladimir Tagić, continues its extremely successful festival journey and wins new significant awards. At the CinEdays film festival in Skopje (North Macedonia), where it was shown in the main competition program, the film was declared the best film of the festival, while Andrija Kuzmanović received a special award from the jury for the leading male role.
The film had its world premiere in the main competition program of the Sarajevo Film Festival, where it was greeted with a standing ovation, and Andrija Kuzmanović won the prestigious “Heart of Sarajevo” award for the best male role. This was followed by notable success at the Film Festival in Herceg Novi, where Kuzmanović received the “Golden Mimosa” award, as well as recognition for the best debut director at the Džada Film Fest in Podgorica.
Yugo Florida brings an emotional story about Zoran (Andrija Kuzmanović), a man accustomed to the routine of working behind the cameras in the production of a reality show, who unexpectedly embarks on a last trip with his father (Nikola Pejaković). Through a series of moving and humorous situations, the film exposes the complex relationship between father and son, intertwined with silences, generational misunderstandings and unspoken emotions.
In addition to Kuzmanović and Pejaković, the film also stars Hana Selimović, Jovana Stojiljković, Snježana Sinovčić Šiškov, as well as other prominent regional actors.
Yugo Florida is an international co-production of Serbia (Sense Production), Bulgaria (Contrast Films), France (La Belle Affaire), Croatia (Eclectica) and Montenegro (Adriatic Western), realized with the support of Creative Europe MEDIA and Eurimages funds.
