South Wind 2: Speed Up directed by Miloš Avramović had its world premiere at the 68th Pula Film Festival, as part of the competitive “International Program”. On that occasion, the Croatian Audiovisual Center (HAVC) awarded a special recognition award to the team of this Serbian film as a sign of gratitude for the joint development of co-productions. According to the audience, South Wind 2: Acceleration wasthe second-ranked film, with an average rating of as much as 4.67. The project of this film was supported by  Film Center Serbia (FCS), the Provincial Secretariat for Culture of AP Vojvodina and the HAVC.

A Serbian drug lord is forced to return to the streets and get his hands bloody when his brother gets into trouble with a rival cartel. The key roles in the film are played by: Miloš Biković, Miodrag Radonjić, Predrag Miki Manojlović, Aleksandar Berček, Jovana Stojiljković, Luka Grbić, Marijan Valev, Zahari Baharov and Anastasia Everal. The filming took place in 2021 in Knjaževac and around Serbia.

The subtitle “Acceleration” indicates that the sequel is more dynamic and production-demanding than the film that preceded it – especially in the domain of action scenes. At the end of September last year, the  Film Center Serbia team, led by director Gordan Matić, visited the set and on that occasion the director Miloš Avramović said: “The action starts after the introductory third and lasts almost without interruption until more demanding and spectacular than the previous ones. All that to the finale, which pushes the boundaries in production, scenography, cascades… A lot of effort has been invested in all that and I hope that it will be seen in the film. ”

The film was produced by Miloš Avramović, Miloš Biković, Tatjana Žeželj Gojković and Miodrag Radonjić. The Croatian co-producer is Stanislav Babić, while the executive producers are Goran Bjelogrlić and Ljubomir Božović. In addition to Avramović’s production house Regime (Serbia), Archangel Digital Studios (Serbia), Telefilm (Croatia), Archangel Studios (Serbia) and Film District (Serbia) worked on the film.

In addition to the mentioned Avramović and Mihajlović, the author team of the sequel “South Wind” consists of director of photography Lazar Radić, editor Lazar Predojev, set designer Dušan Radoičić, costume designer Jelena Đorđević, casting director Nenad Pavlović, make-up artists Petra Macura and Jasmina Banović, sound cameraman Igor Popovski, sound designer Luka Anzelotti (Anzellotti Digital). It should be noted that, in addition to Serbian film workers, the team also includes film professionals from Northern Macedonia, Slovenia and Croatia.
