The fifth edition of the regional platform ReActing as a Star, intended to connect talented actors from Southeast Europe with the international film industry, will be held in Kranj, Slovenia, from June 12th to 14th 2026. The program produced by Pari Pikule and Secret Arts Cinema is realized in partnership with the Slovenian Film Center and with the support of Film Center Serbia, the Croatian Audiovisual Center and Film Center Montenegro. The international relevance of the project is additionally confirmed by long-term cooperation with the world’s leading associations of casting directors, the International Casting Directors Association (ICDA) and the Casting Society (CSA), whose support guarantees a high professional level of the entire event.

Among the twelve selected actors from the region who will participate in the program this year are two representatives from Serbia – Isidora Simijonović and Miodrag Dragićević. During the three-day program, participants will have the opportunity to present their work and make contacts with respected international casting directors, agents and film professionals.
The program includes workshops, talks and individual meetings with leading European casting directors, and its goal is to give actors from the region greater visibility and access to international film and television productions. This year’s edition will bring together a number of distinguished guests from the world of film, including the Slovenian actress Katarina Chas, known for her international career and roles in the films The Wolf of Wall Street and Terminal, as well as the American actor Darren Pettie, known for the series Mad Men and Foundation.
A special focus of the program will be on meetings with international casting directors behind some of the most notable European and world film and television productions, providing participants with a unique opportunity for professional networking and career development.
From its establishment until today, ReActing as a Star has gathered more than 70 actors from the region and numerous international professionals, confirming its role as one of the most important platforms for the promotion of acting talents from Southeast Europe.
