The well-known New York Anthology Film Archives cinema will feature a short Serbian film Bambiland by young director Danilo Stanimirovič on January 15th at 6 pm, as part of the First Short Films for Young Film Makers program.
Short film synopsis: Strahinja has just graduated from acting academy and is working as a clown at children’s birthday parties. Bambilend is a large amusement park in his hometown that was in full swing when Strahinja was growing up. Now Bambiland is abandoned and desolate and as such represents a perfect metaphor of Strahinja’s generation.27
