The seventh Dok’n’Ritam Music Documentary Film Festival will take place at the Student City Cultural Center in New Belgrade from June 14th to 17th, 2022.

This year, for the first time, the competition program brings films from all over the world. The central theme of some of them is the influence of war circumstances on creativity, often in the form of two-way analysis and the anti-war message that every musical documentary carries. Films from all over the world are united by the slogan “Password: NR7CoordinatesAntiratne #”.

A number of documentaries by Serbian authors will be presented at the festival. Mladen Kovačević’s film “Unplugged” will be shown in the “D’n’R Classics” program, while the competition selection includes: “The Frajle: Let’s Celebrate with a Song” by Aleksandra Švonja, “Concert for Peace” by Vladimir Paunović, “Straight” by Noomen Noomen , “Easter, City and Rock and Roll” by Ivan Velisavljević and Katarina Popović-Janković and “Now You See That You Can” by Slobodan Simojlović.

The festival will host special screenings of documentaries “Ecce Toma” by Vladimir Ristić, a film about Toma Zdravković, one of the most famous folk music singers in the region, and “From Naked Island to the King of Roma Music” by Nebojša Šaitović, a film about the King of Roma Music, Šaban Bajramović.

The “Work in Progress” section presents music documentaries in the work process and in various stages of production, including new films by Vladimir Paunović (about the rock group Smak), Sandra Ristovski (about Laza Ristovski), Matej Rackov (about opera singer Željko Lučić), Darko Langulov (about the rock group YU grupa).
