The “Heart of Sarajevo” for best TV series of the 28th Sarajevo Film Festival nominations are out. The expert jury, composed of more than 400 film professionals from the region has included 17 series from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia, Kosovo * and Slovenia. Among the nominees, the series from our country are in the lead.
The series nominated for the “Heart of Sarajevo” awards for the TV series are: “Advocado”, “Besa 2”, “Block 27”, “Black Wedding”, “Strange Kinds of Love”, “Valley of Flowers”, “Beak”, “Lenin’s Park ”,“ Crazy, Confused, Normal”, “Swamp 2”, “Mrkomir I”, “Impure Blood”, “The Last Socialist Artifact”, “Good Brothers”, “My Father’s Killers 5”, “Silence”, “Time of Evil”.
The Sarajevo Film Festival established the awards last year, with the aim of promoting and recognizing the best regional television series shown in the past year and providing incentives for their international placement.
This year, the categories have been expanded, and the awards will be given in two categories: for drama and for comedy series. In the category of drama series, eight awards are given: for best drama series, best lead actress, best lead actor, best female supporting role, best male supporting role, for rising star, for best director (for an episode) and for best screenplay (for an episode). In the comedy category, six awards are given: for best comedy, best lead actress, best lead actor, best rising star, best director (for an episode) and best screenplay (for an episode).
The “Heart of Sarajevo” award ceremony for TV series will take place during the 28th Sarajevo Film Festival, which will be held from August 12th to 19th, 2022.
