BROTHER DEYAN (minority coproduction)

After ten years of hiding from the Tribunal in abandoned bases and basements a general of the Balkan war is secretly transported to a detached house on the outskirts of a mountain village, to an old man called Slavko. At first the General seems to be reluctant to leave the house. Alone in his room, he spends hours sitting in a chair by the window or lying in bed staring at the ceiling. He always keeps two pistols with him. However over time the General gradually gets used to the rural life of tight-lipped Slavko, starts helping him: with Slavko he cuts the wood, lies foundation for a fence, travels to the next village to buy some flour, sugar, ets. In this heavily overgrown man locals do not recognize a former General – a hero of the nation in the past.
