A STAR IS BORN

Author and the main character in the documentary is Vanja (29). She decides to learn how to play drums and start a band. The band will be a ‘tribute’ band to an indie band from USA, The Decemberists. The film will picture the working process of gathering, making up a music group; rehearsing, improving and finally succeeding – performing in a concert. The band in the documentary will be called ‘Writers of Fiction’ after a line from a The Decemberists’ song. Band members will most probably not be musicians. They will have to posses potentials, but not necessarily knowledge. Since the story itself is an adventure for the author as a film character, the point of view will be very subjective. This is a story about dreams - dreams that become wishes, and the will to make them real! And the context is the music. Where’s the will, there is a way!
