The competition for films at the regional 19th Catch the Film festival, which includes screenings of domestic and foreign films that deal with the subject of disability, is open and will accept submissions until May 1, 2021.
The submitted films must deal with the topic of disability (except for authors who are persons with disabilities, who can submit films on any topic), be up to 30 minutes long, be filmed in at least DVD quality and subtitles in Serbian / Croatian / Bosnian or English.
Films are delivered by mail (2 copies) or via the Internet (festhome or clickforfestivals, filmfreeway, youtube, wetransfer, vimeo). Along with the film, be sure to submit a completed application form, a biography of the author, two photos from the film, a dialogue list in srt format and a trailer (if any) to the e-mail uhvatifilm@gmail.com. Catch the Film is the only regional film festival on disability. It has been successfully held in Novi Sad for 19 years, organized by KAO Parnas, since 2011 it takes place in Rijeka, under the organization of the Spirit Association, and ever since 2017 in Banja Luka under the leadership of the Humanitarian Organization Partner and in Kotor in the realization of ART 365 from Podgorica. The selected films will be screened at the 19th Catch Film Festival in Novi Sad and will be shortlisted for screening in Banja Luka, Rijeka and Kotor, but also within the Film Caravans – screenings of selected films in the cities of Serbia and Croatia.
The Festival is held throughout the region with a unique goal: to inform the public about the life, activities, rights and achievements of people with disabilities, which influences changes in people’s attitudes towards people with disabilities, better understanding and acceptance of diversity, and creating conditions for greater visibility and inclusion of persons with disabilities in all spheres of social life.
