The Serbian film industry has seen year-on-year growth in almost all relevant parameters in 2022.

Admissions grew by 10%, and the GBO was 20,08% higher than in 2021, with 1,788,412,496 dinars (15,252,742 Euro) in total. The share of foreign, mostly USA films was much larger in 2022 then in the previous year.

Out of 3.683.690 admissions for films screened in 2022, 20.84% were for Serbian films, 66.76% for USA  films, while European films were viewed by 9.40% of moviegoers. Films from other countries account for 3% of admissions.

There was also a small increase in the number of screens (two more than in previous year) showing that theatre business is expanding in Serbia.
