Yesterday, on April 30th, the 10th BANEFF (Balkan Nordic Film Bestival) ended in Stockholm, Sweden. The list of winners of this year’s festival medals also includes several films and filmmakers from Serbia.

The best feature film was My Morning Laughter by Marko Đorđević. In the category Women’s Achievements, Anja Pavićević was awarded for her acting role in the Serbian film Name of the People, and in the men’s category, Vladimir Gvojić and Filip Đurić were awarded for their roles in A.S. (25) and My morning Laughter.

In the Special Awards section, Stefan Milosavljević, director of photography for the film My Morning Laughter, and director Milena Grujić for the “best final scene” of the film A.S. (25); as well as Aleksandar Rasinac and Boris Čakširan for make-up and costumes in the film The Name of the People. Ognjen Georgievski and Serbian screenwriter Melina Pota were awarded for the screenplay of the Serbian minority co-production Second Chance, directed by Marija Džidževa.

Tesla Nation

A special award in the field of documentaries was won by Tesla Nation, a film by Željko Mirković, while the audience award was given to The Name of the People directed by Darko Bajić.
