The new, 12th edition of the Mister Worky International Film Festival will be held from September 25th to 28th at the “Brana Crnčević” Cultural Center and the “Atanasije Stojković” City Library in Ruma, and the theme of this year’s festival is “Intimate Light”, which will be discussed with guests and film authors on the last day of the festival.
In the competition program of one-minute films, according to the choice of selector Marko Kostić, 60 short-shorts films will be shown. The awards in this category will be decided by a three-member regional jury consisting of: Milena Đukić, producer and culture manager from Podgorica, Jelena Topić, film and TV director from Prijedor and Dragomir Zupanc, film and TV director and screenwriter from Belgrade. The six one-minute films of the competition program were produced domestically.
According to the choice of the selector Milan Milosavljević, 14 films will compete in the competition program of short films called “9413”, diverse both in terms of style and genre. The decision on the best short films will be made by Duško Stanivuk, a film and TV director from Belgrade. In two competition nights, five domestic films will be shown – “Shooting Point” by Lazar Jovanović, “August” by Dan Grabnar, “The Sky Under Honey” by Marko Ubović, “Transformation” by Anđela Savić and “The Sweet Homemaker” by Dušan Smola.
The visual identity of the festival poster was designed by local artist Dejan Delić, and the jingle of the festival was realized by an animator from Bor, Mihajlo Dragaš. The Romanian artist, Branislav Crvenković, created the festival award. The founder and organizer of the festival is the Independent Film Center Vorky Team, which tirelessly continues the mission of promoting the life and work of the great film artist – Slavoljub Slavko Vorkapić, and thanks everyone who supported this year’s edition of the festival.
