Serbia passes the law on film and other audio-visual heritage

As announced on the website of the Yugoslav Cinematheque, the Parliament of Serbia has on September 6th passed the Law on Film and Other Audio-Visual Heritage, which comprehensively regulates the protection of film and audio-visual material as an extremely important segment of cultural heritage.

Yugoslav ‘black wave’ in MoMa in September

The famous Museum of Contemporary Art in New York (MoMA) will hold a retrospective of the films of the Yugoslav “Black Wave” from September 7th to 21st, 2023, under the title “Black Wave to White Ray: Yugoslav Film of the 1960s”.

Jovan Ginić and Nemanja Vojinović Awarded at Sarajevo IFF

The young Serbian actor Jovan Ginić won the “Heart of Sarajevo” award for best actor for his role in the film Lost Country, while the Heart of Sarajevo award for the best documentary film went to Serbian director Nemanja Vojinović for Bottlemen.

The 21st edition of the CineLink Industry Days at the 29th Sarajevo Film Festival concluded with the award ceremony, where projects in various formats and stages of development hailing from Southeast Europe and the MENA region were presented and awarded.
